When is it ok to stop using baby bath and use regular soap or body wash?

actually, my pediatrician recommended dove from the very start. it's very gentle for babies. When is it ok to stop using baby bath and use regular soap or body wash?
I wouldnt recommend either, commercial detergents are terrible for your baby. Use a little oil or a hand made all olive oil soap and never ever anything with mineral oil in itWhen is it ok to stop using baby bath and use regular soap or body wash?
use a small amount to test a spot- to make sure it will not irritate your child's skin. be careful with adult shampoos though, they are not tear free
we're still using baby wash but only because we got SO much of it when my daughter was first born. (she's almost three now.) it's useful especially because it's tear-free and pretty gentle on her skin.

but i sometimes use my bubble bath for her - not often (to avoid UTIs, yeast, etc.)

we did move to kid shampoo a year ago. and we have to use adult conditioner - there's just no other way to get the tangles out.

as long as the soap is pretty gentle, it shouldn't matter. but you'll need to make sure they don't get it in their eyes. it'll be a lousy bath experience for everyone.
Just after your 89th birthday
when they ant a baby anymore when you think they old enof when does her or she think they old enof?
Usually when the child is old enough to know to close their eyes and mouth so the soap doesn't bother them. If your child has sensitive skin you may want to wait a little longer.
If your child has sensitive skin you should continue to use it or use an adult wash meant for sensitive skin. Other than that, when ever you want to switch to another body wash is fine. They also make body wash and shampoo for children (not baby bath) that smells fun. My kids love it. But when we go camping or on vacation they just use my body wash and shampoo. I just take precaution to keep it out of their eyes. Harsh soap in their eyes once will make bath time not fun at all.

You are the parent, you have to decide when it's best for you and your child!
Whenever you want. Baby bath is just more mild, for baby's sensitive skin. But if your baby's skin doesn't react to the baby bath...then you're ok.
Now if you think it's time. Just be careful what you purchase a lot of soaps have a lot of extras and perfumes in them that can be very irritating to tender skin. Avoid anti-baterial and deoderant soaps as they are overly harsh.
That's when you're 4 years, then that's when you stop using it.
it depends on yourself- if you notice that the soap doesn't seem to be working- i/e lil' bum or feet still stinkee///then its time to try another soap...Use your gut- also a good way to know (is with the shampoo if its head to toe) if hair comes clean %26amp; doesn't look dirty then fine stick with it..

You would only do the same for yourself- if the soap wouldn't be strong enough (B.O) and the shampoo not cleaning your hair right....you would switch right!
I think if you are able to use the internet, you are ready for body wash. Go for it.
Be careful with regular soaps....they can casue reaction...i would wait til they are over a year or 2
I have a 3 and 4 year old and we still use baby wash. I do use the Suave 2-in-1 kid shampoos for their hair though. The baby wash still works and they both have very sensitive skin. I say over the age of 2, but like the other posts, try to stay away from dyes and perfumes.
Maybe 2 or 3,I cant remember when I changed my daughters soap, shes 14. When ever you do,make sure the ingredients say';dye free';. I think that should go for everyone. Look into Suave products, they're so cheap you could afford to use baby soap forever!
well, regular soaps are much more harsh than baby soaps. If you really have to stop using it, get Ivory or even Dove unscented for sensitive skin.

My son had a mild skin reaction, %26amp; they told us to use Dove unscented for him. They said it is very mild.
At any age really. Baby washes are a modern gimmick and moms think they are supposed to use them. Just make sure whatever soap you use is mild and unscented. Also stay away from deodorant soaps. There are several mild unscented brands on the market such as Dove unscented, Ivory, Aveeno, and others. Go ahead and save yourself some $$$. I would stay away from body washes for adults since so many contain perfumes that could irritate.
