Can we take a soap bath at the time of chicken pox?

While quick baths are fine, soaking is probably not recommended, as those blisters need time to dry up and heal. I would recommend using a very mild hypoallergenic soap (Johnson's Baby Bath, Baby Magic, or something by Aveeno), and doing only quick cool-warm baths till your blisters have all opened and healed.

It was what was recommended I do when I contracted CP at the age of 25.Can we take a soap bath at the time of chicken pox?
yes u can...just don't share the soap...and when u r better throw away the soap...hope u feel better soon !!Can we take a soap bath at the time of chicken pox?
Using cool wet compresses or giving baths in cool or lukewarm water every 3 to 4 hours for the first few days. Oatmeal baths, available at the supermarket or pharmacy, can help to relieve itching. (Baths do not spread chickenpox.)

Patting (not rubbing) the body dry.

Putting calamine lotion on itchy areas (but don't use it on the face, especially near the eyes).
If you use a mild soap and don't spend an inordinate amount of time in the water, there's no reason why not. Frequent baths can be very soothing. I agree with the suggestions to use Aveeno and baking soda. You can also make your own oatmeal bath powder by grinding oatmeal into a fine powder and adding 2 cups to the bathwater. Or you can add 1/2 to 1 cup of baking soda. Both are good for itch relief and a tepid bath can help reduce fever. You don't need to dispose of the soap. The varicella virus is a respiratory virus and cannot be transmitted through this sort of contact.
Sure u can, however u don't want to soak in the water for a long period of time.
Unless a doctor has forbad it, go ahead.
you CAN use soap, but remember that it will irritate the pox. it can make them really sore. the best thing is to add 1/2 cup of baking soda to the water.

chicken pox don't last that long, so a week without using soap will be OK.
