Can I clean my ear piercing (lobe) with bath soap?

I got my ear lobe piercing on Dec. 31. On the day I got my ear piercing, the people did not give me any cleaning solutions (alcohol) stating it kills the healing skin. Moreover, i do not own any sea salts or any rubbing alcohol myself. Am i allowed to take a bath/shower so soon after my piercing without having to clean it afterwards? Can I clean my ear piercing (lobe) with bath soap?
Hi!

When I got my ears pierced, the piercing specialist told me to gently clean my pierced area (ear lobe) front and back with a small amount of alcohol using a cotton ball. I was also told to turn my stud post several times during the day. The specialist also said after a week, take the earrings out and wipe them down with a small amount of alcohol using a cotton ball; let it dry for a few seconds and put them back in. I cleaned my ear lobes and the earrings as I was told and have had no problems with infection. I think using alcohol is better for preventing infection than bath soap. I see no problem with you taking a shower, just don't get any soap on the piercing area.

Good Luck!
