Shower gel or bath soap?

I have used shower gel ever since I watched that episode of friends where Chandler and Joey are talking about why there is long curly hair on the soap.Their conversation ends with joey saying,Think about,think about where the last place I would have used the soap,and the then after my shower the first place where you used the soap.Shower gel or bath soap?

shower gel has moisturizers and softeners added, soaps just dry your skin
Shower gel - keeps my skin softer and helps moisturize it.
gel. its just easier to deal with in the shower. i dont have to keep putting the shower gel down on a specific surface. but the soap..i have to keep putting it down hoping it doesnt fall on the floor.
Soap is more environmentally friendly since it doesn't include a plastic container. Sigh.
i would choose shower gel, i take more showers than baths because showers are quick. besides you get squeaky clean.
